The Glacier is a world-class puffer jacket achieved by teaming up with world-renowned and specialist puffer jacket brands Pertex and Primaloft combined with our premium features and ruthless attention to detail. This puffer is built for hunts in the depths of winter, keeping you toasty when static around camp and glassing. When it's time to put in the hard yards and get up to a better vantage point, its excellent breathability expels sweat and moisture vapour.

The outer fabric and internal fill are made using recycled materials and are sustainably sourced. The insulation is made up of a 320gm Responsible Down Standard certified down / Primaloft Silver blend, with 650 fill power. This fill creates massive heat-trapping space within the baffles and offers the best of both worlds that come with down and synthetic insulation. Pertex Quantum Eco 50D outer fabric is exceptionally light and tough for maximum breathability and packability. It also offers excellent weather protection in light rain and snow. Premium features including YKK zips, TunnelTech hood, zippered handwarmer pockets, internal mesh pocket, dual cuff system, and PFC free DWR, make the Glacier a premium puffer for both Alpine hunting expeditions and winter commutes.

      Extreme cold beater

I use a combination of 3 jackets from Hunters Element, the Glacier, the Razor Elite and the Odyssey Jackets. The Glacier really is my below zero option in mountainous region whether in the Kaimanawa / Kaweka regions, Tararua or Mount Aspiring area. The Glacier as the name suggest I wear as is in extreme (for me) cold weather when I am in stationary situation, whether photographing or hunting. For slightly warmer or rainier weather or configurations where I will mostly wear the jacket in camp, I tend to favour the Razor+Odyssey combo, simply because the Razor is less bulkier. Both Glacier and Razor are easy to compact so space in itself is not the main criteria, it is more weather and activity dependant for me. Both Glacier and Razor Elite are very well built but I wish they had reinforcing patches to the elbow and shoulder where the backpack straps rub against. I understand however that the fewer stitches there are the warmer the puffer jacket so the patches would have to flexible and glued ideally. Overall I am very happy with both puffer and the Glacier is my optimal choice for warmth and comfort. In Tararua, I have had probably the coldest windy conditions, well below zero and the Glacier was an absolute saviour. Note that I am using HE's Core+ base Layer with a neck warmer under, no mid layer usually even in super cold conditions as my priority is to keep dry as much as possible till camp. After 10 hours of tramping under the super heavy rains of Fiordland, keeping dry…
